L.A. Lady

I'm a Hollywood native who's ready to spread the love for L.A. You'll be reading about my assorted adventures, nutty knitting and crochet projects, wacky and wonderful friends and whatever else I feel like yammering about. Don't forget shoes. Very important.

Nothing to complain about

So, I'm having car trouble lately.

I see that there's a bus that goes pretty much from my front door to Michael Levine's, and off I go.
I walked around, had a hot dog, bought fabric I don't need...you know the drill.

Various little detours caused me to catch the bus home at Broadway and 7th.
While I was waiting, this woman with a huge suitcase walks up to me and asks if this is the bus that goes to Children's Hospital.

I told her that it was, that I lived nearby, and that I'd happily point it out to her.

The young woman with the suitcase had just gotten off a Greyhound from Arizona and was on her way to see her
3 year-old son - who had been airlifted there from Arizona for an immediate life-saving liver transplant.

3.
Years old.

She also left behind a 1 and 2 year-old to be with him, soooo...

The next time something crappy, hurtful, annoying, or just plain awful happens to you, please remember that it could be much, much worse, and there are loads of people out there who REALLY have a right to complain about something.

Later all...
